Helicopter operations 2022
According to the latest figures from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association 2021 saw the rebound of the helicopter industry from the woeful pandemic days. Turbine helicopter sales plummeted 16.9% in 2020 and piston helicopter sales did even worse, with a 20.7% drop. However, this all turned around in 2021, with piston helicopter increasing 27.5% in 2021 to 181, while turbine helicopter deliveries increased 24.8% to 645. The value of helicopter deliveries for 2021 was $3.7 billion, an increase of approximately 28%. (Read more on page 94)
