Very few people, in fact, probably none at all, will be able to remember Rustenburg without early memories of Rustenburg Herald being around, and not necessarily in the background that is… Rustenburg Herald is indeed the community newspaper of note that has been around for ages - since 1924 in fact. For almost a century we have shared the good, bad and ugly of this remarkable town. Gossip and mystery on the lost Kruger millions; secrets and scandals on the Anglo Boer War; Early settlements and agriculture in the early 1900s, New discoveries in the Magaliesberg mountain range; Prominent people/families from days long lost and yes, up to the days which saw Rustenburg taking the honours as the South African town with the highest growth rate in 1994. Over decades we have reported on art, culture, sport, agriculture, business, motoring, municipal and political development, scandals and crime and living life in South Africa. Together with our community Rustenburg Herald is looking forward to the celebration of our centenary in 2024, which will inevitably put things in perspective
