Dip berries in chocolate
Strawberries and dark chocolate are rich in flavonoids, plant compounds that tamp down pain-producing inflammation. So say authors of a report in the journal Frontiers in Nutrition, who found that the risk of back pain was up to 48% lower in people whose diets were high in flavonoids compared to those who skimped on the compounds. Other fare that's packed with flavonoids: blueberries, raspberries, cranberries, apples, green tea and black tea.
