A purr-fect new beginning

Lizzie finds a four-legged visitor in her new home, but she's even more surprised when sparks fly with the cat's handsome owner

After a long morning moving into her new apartment, Lizzie took a break and sipped a large cup of coffee at the diner across the street. She'd find her own coffee maker eventually. From three floors down, she looked up and noticed a cat in the window. What caught her attention was that the cat was sitting in her apartment window... and she didn't have a cat. In a panic, she quickly paid her bill, raced across the street and up three flights of stairs. Sweaty and out of breath, Lizzie swung open the door to her apartment and stared at an adorably fat orange tabby simply lounging on her windowsill. The cat turned, gave her an unimpressed look, then closed its eyes and continued to snooze.

“How did you get in here?” Lizzie mumbled more to herself than to the cat. She approached the cat carefully and noticed a leather collar around its neck. The name Gizmo was etched on the tag but no phone number.

“Gizmo, huh? Well, I wasn't planning on having a roommate, but I guess you can stay until I find your owner.”

Lizzie grabbed her phone and snapped pictures of Gizmo. After, she opened up her laptop and created a fast flyer to post on the internet and in the lobby of her new building.
