Rule 1

If one does plod through the multitudinous aspects of their research work, it is easy to see that they can be boiled down to two basic rules.

"Even an elixir can turn into poison if not consumed in moderation." Truer words have not been spoken. It is common knowledge that there are two kinds of eaters in the world: those who gorge on the food they love and others who hope to tank up on nutrients by devouring foods that are considered healthy.

This kind of eating pattern will not work for both categories of people for the simple reason that they have not realised that the digestive system will absorb only what is essential to the human body. Some of it will be stored as fat, while the rest will be passed out as waste matter.

If we go on abusing our digestive tracts by force-feeding or overfeeding them, we are definitely inviting unhealthy conditions like fatty liver, gallbladder stones, and lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and blocked arteries, among other things. Hence, the mantra should revolve around eating a balanced meal in moderation.
