Wake up at 4:50 a.m.? Happily! "I pinch myself that I get to do what I love as a journalist," says this early riser, who cohosts CBS Mornings Plus with her good friend Tony Dokoupil. "News excites me." She majored in international relations and public policy at Princeton and has lived in China, France, Ecuador, and Spain. These days the native New Yorker is happy to be close to home. "My parents are from the Dominican Republic, and I was born in Washington Heights, a Dominican neighborhood in Upper Manhattan," she says. "Family, food, and merengue are very important to us, and I grew up loving all three."
