Warring exes Deborra-Lee Furness and Hugh Jackman made amends recently after two years of iciness - and an insider reveals the Aussie actress used the opportunity to dish about her big book deal!

“Hugh had heard about Deb's plans, but he didn't really know anything until she told him herself during their secret meetup,” says a source close to the exes, adding they've caught up face to face multiple times in New York, trying to pave the way to a new chapter in their relationship.

Deborra-Lee, 69, has been spied leaving a New York publishing house with notes in hand and our insider says she's planning to tell her side of the story - from being married to Hugh, 57, for 27 years and adopting their kids, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20, to navigating her newly single life.

“It’s not about getting revenge - Deb wants to find peace with Hugh but not at the expense of her own voice,” tells our source. “She feels like she’s always had Hugh’s best interests at heart and now it’s time to put her interests first.
