Sean Penn's ex talks about what she wishes she'd done differently

Robin Wright is spilling on her on-and-off 14-year marriage to ex Sean Penn, and the Forrest Gump star is getting candid about her biggest regrets along the way.

Robin and Mystic River star Sean tied the knot in 1996, seven years after the actor split from Madonna.

The pair went on to welcome a daughter, Dylan Frances Penn, and a son, Hopper Jack Penn, before an acrimonious split in 2010.

"It turns out it's a lot quicker to repair a friendship after divorce if there are not kids involved," Sean told The New York Times in 2024. "It took Robin and I quite a while.

There was a lot of drama." Robin has now given a rare insight into the former couple's family life in an interview with The Times, revealing she "wasn't hard enough" on their kids during their childhoods.
