Much has been made of his emancipation from his parents as a teen, but in a new interview, the star has finally set the record straight about what really happened – and his decades-long estrangement from his father.

Speaking on the Sibling Revelry With Kate Hudson & Oliver Hudson podcast, the 44-year-old – who has a cameo in Kate’s Netflix series Running Point, in which his fiancee, Brenda Song, also stars — got candid about growing up with his father, Christopher “Kit” Culkin, a former stage actor.
