Smiling politely as she stood between two of the world's most famous reality stars, the Duchess of Sussex's modest mother Doria Ragland certainly stood out at This Is About Humanity's fifth charity gala in Los Angeles.

But even more noticeable was how keen momager Kris Jenner looked to be in the company of Doria, who insiders say she's been desperate to befriend!

 The relentless reality star matriarch was seen smiling from ear to ear when she posed with Doria, 67, at the gala in LA recently, and her most famous daughter, Kim Kardashian, looked equally pleased to be mingling with almost-royalty.

And it's no wonder Kris, also 67, looked like the cat that got the cream - she's been trying to get to Doria, and more directly, her daughter Meghan, for years!

WINNING OVER DORIA

"Becoming Doria's most trusted adviser has become Kris' mission in life," an insider tells Woman's Day. "She's like a vulture circling the Sussexes and she's convinced she's the only one who knows how to turn their fortunes around."

Among the projects we're told that Kris would love to spearhead for the Sussexes are a reality format show with Meghan, 42, and her husband Prince Harry, 38, or "even just a short series following Doria with the cameras".
