BEATLES VS BEE GEES BATTLE OF THE BIOPICS!

The stories of the iconic bands are going head-to-head in the cinema

One band went down in history as an iconic music group like no other, the other ruled the dance genre for decades. And in the next couple of years, the stories of English rock legends the Beatles and brotherly trio the Bee Gees will get the big-screen treatment in biopics about their lives and music.

Set to start shooting in September, You Should Be Dancing will follow Bee Gees members Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb as they find chart success in Australia and then the world in the '70s. There will reportedly be unheard recording sessions and even covers of Beatles songs!

The Beatles biopics are slated for release in 2028, with Paul McCartney, the late John Lennon, Ringo Starr and the late George Harrison each getting their own film.

The Beatles' films will be helmed by Sam Mendes, the director whose impressive resume boasts classic films such as American Beauty, Revolutionary Road and the more recent Bond films.
