As the mercury drops back home, now is a popular time for travellers to head overseas in search of sunnier climes. And after all the adventure, you'll probably expect to return feeling energised and refreshed. But, there's one small problem which is, of course, jet lag.

Jet lag is the unwelcome hangover that follows your otherwise dream holiday. It occurs when your circadian rhythm (aka your internal clock) is disrupted by crossing multiple time zones, resulting in symptoms like tiredness, fatigue, brain fog, irritability and even stomach issues.

While some factors that control circadian rhythms (like our age) can't be changed, others can be tweaked relatively easily. Here's how to ensure you land on the right foot.
