Can you give us the elevator pitch for your new book?

A grieving widow and single mother of three receives an unexpected inheritance from a man she's never heard of. Complications abound via a family mystery behind this bequest, as well as the challenge of caring for a hillside acreage some distance from her home, and the Scotsman she must share it with.

What led you to write this particular story?
I'm afraid I've been asking myself this same question. It seems to have been one of those ideas that arrived, had instant appeal and away I went. However, the story's setting on the Atherton Tablelands is definitely inspired by the 14 years my husband and I spent living there on our own hillside acreage. We miss it more than we ever expected to.

You dedicate this book to your grandchildren and say they inspired the younger characters?
