'Another Olympics isn't OFF THE CARDS'

What are you like first thing?

I've got a twin brother [Nathan] and we're on opposite clocks. He'll say up late and struggle to get up, while I've always been good in the morning but need my bedtime. Being a morning person definitely helps doing a sport usually early in the morning and having children [Logan, six, and twins Kit and Beau, four]. The first of our three creeps into our bed [around] 5am, then by 6am all three are [there], so it's time to get up.

What scares you the most?

Anything out of my control happening to the kids or my family. The idea of my child going Interrailing as a teenager doesn't panic me nearly as much as technology. What's in our home has far more potential to frighten me than what's in the big wide world. The unknown of technology and knowing that our kids will live in a world where those influencers will be in the palm of their hand scares me. Being out in nature does feel like we're offsetting some of the pressures and inclinations to use technology.

What are the best and worst things about getting older?
