In an ideal world, we'd have a firm grip on our body composition all year round, and our cast-iron eating and exercise routine would be testament to that. All our clothes would fit, with our muscles taut and bones strong, our hormones stable, and our fridge full of wholegrain, non-processed, low-sugar, toxin-free food. Our intestines would be fizzing with health from the homemade fermented concoctions we've spent hours perfecting.

But summer comes with long days and sunshine (fingers crossed), which are inevitably filled with social events. We have to dig deep for statements like 'Just the one for me', while phrases such as 'Oh, twist my arm, why not?' seem to flow with ease. And once we're on a roll, astride the social train and fully embracing the summer indulgence, is it possible to get off? Yes, it jolly well is - because, listen 'ere, sisters. Fat loss is very straightforward.
