Kaye Adams on change at ITV Daytime, the Loose Women WhatsApp group and the show’s lively debates

- WORDS: ARIANA LONGSON.

‘WE HAVE AN IMPORTANT SPACE ON TV'

When Woman’s Own caught up with Loose Women’s Kaye Adams recently, she was on great form. Despite the recent changes at ITV Daytime – which saw the panel show move studios, lose their live audience and only air for 30 weeks of the year – Kaye, 63, exclusively told us that she’s ‘optimistic’ about its future. Here, the broadcaster and journalist, who joined as part of the original lineup in 1999, reveals all.

Hi Kaye, how’s life at Loose Women?

We are settling in nicely at our new home. It’s got a real kind of buzz about it. We are now in the same studio space as This Morning and Lorraine, whereas previously we were all in our own little bit and we didn’t actually mix much. So the fact that we're all kind of part of the one team is lovely and there’s more of a daytime community now - although Lorraine spends a bit long in the toilet. I have to knock on the door! I'm joking.

How have you found the changes at ITV Daytime?

Change is always a bit daunting, but it’s actually good for us. It’s not great to do the same thing the same way all of the time.
