Blast end-of-summer fatigue with our expert tips

TIME TO BOUNCE OUT OF BED

Summer is almost over - feeling exhausted? It's no wonder really, especially if you have been busy rushing about on holiday, looking after the kids or grandkids and making the most of the sunshine. 'Post-summer fatigue is real,' says nutritionist Cara Shaw from BlueIron. 'The change in season, light levels and daily routines can all take a toll on energy.' But you needn't feel tired every time you wake up in the morning. Often, you just need to change your routine. From writing a to-do list the night before to starting the new day with a boogie to your fave tunes, these simple changes can help.

1 WRITE IT DOWN

Keep a journal by your bed. By scribbling a to-do list for the next day before sleeping or even just getting your thoughts out, you can help clear your mind, making it easier to fall asleep. 'By incorporating this simple action into your evenings, you can create a bedtime routine that not only helps you sleep better, but also enhances your overall wellbeing,' says Dr Chris Mosunic from Calm.
