With dwindling viewers, new bosses and criticism, is Cat Deeley ready to walk away from This Morning?
-

It's no secret that This Morning has had a rocky couple of years. Following the exits of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, fellow host Alison Hammond claimed Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard would 'save the show', but it seems this hasn't quite been the case as they - particularly Cat - have received harsh criticism from viewers since they took the helm in March. Fans have branded Cat 'embarrassing' and 'useless', plus editor Martin Frizell has decided to step down after 10 years. And with the show pulling in an average of just 486,000 daily viewers, compared to an average of 1.3 million in 2022, what does the future hold for This Morning?

Recently, Cat, 48, was embarrassed when guest Sir Bob Geldof had to correct her twice when he appeared on This Morning to talk about Band Aid. When Cat said Band Aid raised almost £2 million, Bob said it was £480 million, and asked her, 'You've never done this before?' Then, when Cat said the upcoming Band Aid documentary would air on Channel 4, Bob interjected again and said, 'No, not Channel 4, BBC4. Who briefs you? Who does your research? Deeley. It's BBC4, for God's sake.'
