PREGNANT WITH TWINS AFTER OUR FIRST DATE
WOMAN'S OWN

For Lisa Parker, 46, life changed dramatically after meeting a handsome stranger at a Christmas party
Spinning around the dance floor as Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas Is You blared out, I couldn't stop smiling.
It was December 2016 and I was on a work night out to celebrate the upcoming festivities. I worked for the Foreign Office in Spain, where I'd lived for the last 15 years. A single mum to my two teenage kids, it was nice to be out enjoying myself. Later that night, I got chatting to a handsome stranger at the bar. Dave, then 32, was originally from Leeds but managed a bar nearby in Calahonda. We chatted away about life in Spain and how much we loved it.
At the end of the night we swapped numbers, then eight days later, on Christmas Eve, I got a text message.
'Do you fancy meeting up?' Dave asked. I was out doing some last-minute Christmas shopping but had almost finished, so I agreed, meeting Dave a few hours later for a drink.
We chatted all night and even though Dave didn't have any kids, he happily listened as I told him all about parenting two teens.
'Sounds like you're a brilliant mum.' he smiled.
Later we went back to his apartment, and merry from the drinks and the excitement of Christmas, one thing led to another. When I left Dave's later, I felt like a giddy schoolgirl.
However, I still stopped by a pharmacy on the way home to pick up the morning-after pill, just to be safe. Because while Dave was lovely and charming, we'd only just met and a baby certainly wasn't on either of our agendas.
