Sandie Shaw PUPPET ON A STRING, 1967

After having Top 10 hits in the 1960s, Sandie secured the UK's first Eurovision win. She later became a therapist but has dipped in and out of performing. Having previously declared her hatred for Puppet on a String, she seems to have changed her tune, recording a new version of the song in 2023.

Sam Ryder SPACE MAN, 2022

Just when we thought we would never get to the top of the leaderboard again, Sam finished in second place behind Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra. He performed at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee concert and the Royal Variety Performance later in the year, and the song reached No 2 in the charts, the first time a UK Eurovision song had been in the Top 10 since Scooch's Flying the Flag (For You) in 2007. Sam continues to write and perform music.
