A gripping new series, Murder in Mind, looks at what really causes people to commit the ultimate crime

Ever wondered what makes someone a killer? Is it that they're born evil, or a perfect storm tips them over the edge? Now, a new series on TV channel True Crime might just provide some insight.

Murder in Mind is presented by Dr Julia Shaw, a criminal psychologist at University College London, and forensic psychologist Kerry Daynes. Each episode of the 10-part series focuses on a different real-life case, with case reconstructions, archive footage and experts guiding us through the behaviour patterns, motives, and warning signs that preceded the violence.

While some killers are found to have acted out of obsession and others out of desperation, control or delusion, the spotlight is all on one thing - the murderer's mindset.
