I am very lucky - my husband is a thoroughly modern man. He cooks, takes out the bins and dotes on our kids. He even buys a lot of the presents. But I, like most women, still carry the invisible load at Christmas.

I wrap all the gifts - not just the ones we've both bought - but the mountains of unwrapped items sent by well-meaning godparents or overseas relations.
