To say it's been a journey for Kate is putting it mildly.

I've spoken to those close to her - all of whom are in awe at her strength and resilience - and two things have become clear.

The first is that she has taken her time to return to work and royal duties. The second is that she doesn't take one minute for granted.

Her priorities have always been her health and her family.
