Last Christmas both the public and actor Joanna Page said goodbye to the lovable Stacey Shipman in the award-winning Gavin & Stacey finale. Filming was ‘so emotional’, Joanna tells Woman in an exclusive interview, but now the star, 48, is looking forward to sinking her teeth into new projects - the most recent being her new book, Lush! My Story - From Swansea to Stacey and Everything in Between, which is out now. Here, Joanna - who has children Eva, 12, Kit, 10, Noah, eight, and Boe, three, with husband James Thornton - reveals her surprising career goal, how she feels about ageing and why she is putting acting on the back-burner.

Hi Joanna! How are you?

I'm really good, thank you. My littlest one, Boe, who's three, has just started preschool, which has been weird. When I first dropped her off, I came back to the house and thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m on my own, what do I do with myself?’ I ended up making beds and tidying rooms. It is taking some getting used to but it’s nice having some time to myself.

What are you looking forward to in the next few months?
