Are you looking FOR LOVE?

This month marks 30 years since match.com launched, but more and more people are turning their backs on dating apps. Woman investigates
-
When it comes to love, it can be found in all sorts of places. At work, at a friend's wedding, even on a train or a bus. But for decades now, we've been reliant on dating sites and apps to help us find 'the one'. This month marks 30 years since match.com launched, and since then, online dating and dating apps have boomed. But recent reports suggest that dating apps might be on their way out, with young people switching off and looking for other ways to find love.
Experts believe that the 'novelty' of swiping left and right to find a date has worn off. So where are people going to find love now? Woman delves deeper and speaks to someone who believes the old-fashioned way of dating should make a comeback.
'I WOULD MEET SOMEONE NATURALLY OR NOT AT ALL'
Lynne Wallis feels she has had her fair share of bad dates...
Finding myself single again at the age of 63, I decided to give online dating a go. I'd been out of a relationship for two years and I was starting to wonder about meeting someone else. 'Think of yourself as a slightly older version of Bridget Jones,' advised a friend who'd met the love of her life online in her 60s.
Encouraged, I joined one of the leading sites and waited for the magic to happen. It didn't. I took three years off my age. Something happened, but it was a long way from being magical.
Now, I'm a little bit overweight, but I have otherwise looked after myself - unlike the rogues' gallery that awaited me whenever I signed in.
Awkward first date
About one in 20 looked as if dentists and barbers had gone out of fashion, so my first challenge was to weed out a few half-decent-looking ones.
