Put down the tweezers: This is how to shape, lift and define brows.

- WORDS by EVA-MARIA BOBBERT

Archangel

Pick your generational icon and there will undoubtedly be a strong brow in the frame: Marilyn Monroe (that sexy arch!), Audrey Hepburn (full and fabulous), and Brooke Shields (the poster girl for lush brows until, of course, there was Cara Delevingne, whose fuzzy caterpillars were almost single-handedly responsible for the growth serum boom that still goes strong).

"Brows have the power to completely shift your look," says makeup artist Melanie Burnicle (@theinnerbeautyboss). For some of us that shift happened back in the '90s when we embraced the skinny brow trend with overzealous abandon.

But life is too short for brow regrets – it's time to throw off the shackles of mourning for what could have been and make the most of what's there.
