Her new dating show brings up a sad time in her own relationship history
-
There are plenty of reasons British TV star Amanda Holden was the perfect choice to co-host a new reality show centred around couples torn apart by cheating.
The blonde bombshell, after all, has had a long career as both an actor and a TV presenter.
But there's another reason she was such a good match. Amanda, too, has been at the centre of a cheating scandal and still has the emotional scars.
“I found the fall from grace incredibly hard to deal with,” the Britain's Got Talent judge says candidly of her much-publicised affair with actor Neil Morrissey when she was married to comedian Les Dennis.
“I can't bear not to be liked. Then I had an affair and overnight turned into this awful person.”
In Cheat: Unfinished Business, currently streaming on Netflix, eight former couples reunite at a swanky retreat in Majorca to confront their past mistakes, rebuild trust and move forward, either together or separately.
They’re guided by relationship guru Paul C. Brunson, 50, and Amanda, 54, who sees her role as a friend to them as they revisit their most painful times.
