Colin finally finds the courage to do the hardest task of all

There were cobwebs on the peg basket when I eventually went to hang out the washing. There’s a lot less of it to hang out when I’m home alone and those spiders do move fast. The executive wife’s away on business again, this time for absolutely ages, though she likes to make out she’ll be back the week after next.

I’ve learned to survive solo. I rarely resort to takeaways and I keep myself busy, making a list of all those things I haven’t got around to and trying to cross some of them off.

One of those things is a bit of a major one that’s been nagging at me for almost five years now, but I was determined to finally get it done.
