FESTIVAL OF HIKING A HUGE SUCCESS
go! - South Africa
|April/May 2025
Nearly a thousand people gathered at Meerendal outside Durbanville over the weekend of 14–16 February, for the second go! Festival of Hiking, presented by Stanley in association with Salomon, and supported by Solal, Cape Nature and Trail Food.
-

Fierce winds and February heat couldn’t deter walkers from taking part in the second go! Festival of Hiking, once again held at the prestigious Meerendal Wine Estate.
Participants came from near and far to enjoy the weekend. On Friday afternoon, walkers stretched their legs with a relaxed 6km route at Meerendal. Saturday was the main event, with hundreds tackling one of three distances: 6km, 13km or 25km. Those on the 13km and 25km routes faced the challenging Dorstberg climb.
