A Blissful Getaway at VITS Lonavala Where Comfort Meets Scenic Charm

As Dr Vikram Kamat, Founder of VITS Hotels & Resorts, rightly says, “Tourism is not confined to the destinations, as it also extends to the systems that support travellers along the way.”
I can confidently say that my recent stay at VITS Lonavala proved just that — where the hotel was not just a place to rest, but an integral part of the entire travel experience. Located right on the main highway of Lonavala, VITS Lonavala is a compact yet thoughtfully designed property with 39 well-appointed rooms. Its strategic location meant that we were just a short drive away from attractions like the peaceful Jain Mandir and the quirky Lucky’s Celebrity Wax Museum. The hilly backdrop, cool breezes, and accessibility made it feel like we were perfectly placed for both leisure and exploration.
From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff set the tone. At the reception, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a refreshing welcome drink — a small but thoughtful gesture that instantly made us feel relaxed.
For our two-night stay, we opted for one of the charming Duplex Rooms — a spacious 300 sq. ft. retreat designed for relaxation and comfort. Spread over two levels, the room had a separate living area, allowing us to unwind with some television or simply gaze out at the lush, green Lonavala hills from the balcony. The interiors blended modern touches with warm, cosy elements, ensuring it felt both elegant and homely.
Although the night was somewhat disappointing due to the constant noise from vehicles and blaring horns, the reasonable cost, comfort of the room, and pleasant weather helped to offset the unexpected disturbance to some extent.
