It didn’t take long for Ian and Lorrie Huschle to fall under the spell of West Palm Beach. After a few visits to their friend and designer Meg Braff’s vibrant home, the couple knew they wanted a retreat of their own. There was just one stipulation from Ian: The house had to be on the water. “That made our search for a house harder!” Lorrie admits with a laugh.
Unable to find a home, in November 2023 the couple, who split their time in Long Island, rented a cottage on an inlet connected to the Intracoastal Waterway just down the street from Braff, hopeful that the perfect house would pop up.
