Three words to describe how I feel about the GV50? I love it. It's amazing. I was sceptical about the use case of the GV50 compared with a standalone 4K TV, and whether scaling down to 1080p would affect my viewing experience. I'm happy to report that I was completely wrong and I discovered that in the best possible way: by using it for what I consider its main purpose, watching live sports.

In our household, content consumption is usually siloed. Apart from the occasional family movie night or an episode of MasterChef on TV, most viewing is done on phones and iPads. But this all changed with the GV50. Its flexibility—being wireless and easy to carry around the house—is just one of its standout features. Add to that the fact that it runs on Google TV OS with a simple interface, and the pièce de résistance: its ability to automatically adjust and conform the picture to any surface. It's genuinely mesmerising.
