1 3D MAKES A COMEBACK… AGAIN

3D video, the technology that absolutely refuses to die. The Vision Pro will mark its latest revival. Not only is Apple preparing 180-degree, 8K, 3D ‘Spatial Video’ versions of Apple TV+ programmes (starting with a Godzilla-starring Monarch: Legacy of Monsters show) optimised for the headset, but users will also be able to create their own 3D content. A dedicated button on the top of the headset will let you snap 3D photos and videos to your heart’s content, ready for playback on the Vision Pro’s dual screens.

2 SURROUND SOUND ON YOUR HEAD

Taking everything it's learnt from its AirPods and HomePods audio devices, Apple's Vision Pro will sound awesome too. Just as 'Spatial Audio' appears in those devices, speakers built into the headset will give the impression that sounds are coming from all around you, immersing you in soundscapes just as comprehensively as the headset's visuals do. This will extend to Face Time calls too, where floating videos of your friends and family will feature positional audio as you move around their contact panes in the video calling app.
