DJI's adorably compact drone has four foldable propellers, making it one of the best choices for light travellers. It shoots crisp 4K@60fps HDR video and 48MP stills with one tap of a button, thanks to its 1/1.3in CMOS sensor. As well as being easy to use, it has foldable prop guards and automatic braking, so you don't have to worry too much about damaging it or causing injury to innocent squirrels – it's perfect for beginners. With a battery that's good for 31mins of flight per charge, the Flip has a host of intelligent shooting features including Master Shots for the easiest cinematic footage yet: the drone automatically performs assorted movements, shooting multiple clips that it then edits together, even adding music and effects. Who needs talent?

Fujifilm GFX100RFDespite its wallet-bleeding price, shutterbugs with a Fuji preference will find this latest medium-format camera hard to resist. Packed with the company's legendary colour rendition and bursting with intuitive features, this is one of the most covetable cameras of the year.
