What’s the story? 

There are A LOT of OnePlus smartphones now, and it can naturally get a bit confusing as to which one fits into which budget. However, it’s fairly clear that anything with ‘Nord’ branding sits one step below the primary number series devices, holding up OnePlus’ ambitions in the mid-range segments. The latest in the list is the OnePlus Nord CE4, which offers a decent set of features for a mid-range smartphone.

Compared to the Nord CE3 that it succeeds in the lineup, the OnePlus Nord CE4 steps forward in some regards, and promises to be a capable smartphone for the price, thanks to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor under the hood.

Is it any good? The OnePlus Nord CE4 isn’t an outstanding or particularly special smartphone, but that’s not a bad thing at all. Buyers in this price segment usually look for reliability, consistency, and real-world benefits such as good battery life and fast charging, and the Nord CE4 delivers all of these things without much fuss.

It’s a fairly reliable device on the whole, sporting a familiar software package based on Android 14, a functional dual-camera setup at the back which manages to include a workable portrait mode despite the lack of a dedicated portrait camera, and excellent battery life, along with fast charging.

Indeed, there’s very little to complain about with the OnePlus Nord CE4. It does exactly what it’s supposed to, and is perhaps the best value-for-money offering in the under-Rs. 30,000 smartphone segment right now.
