Go on, convince me to be excited about yet another compact SUV.

This smaller option is set to come with the same kind of tech that makes the EV9 such a pleasure to drive… but more importantly than all of that, Kia is expected to price the EV3 significantly less than the EV9.

What do I get for that?

You certainly don’t get the heft of the EV9, but this is still going to be a hugely practical runabout. It’s 4.3m long, so shorter than Kia’s current Niro, but the secret to its potential success is a 2.68m wheelbase, which means it should be deliciously spacious inside. As you’d expect, the interior will also take inspiration from the EV9 when it comes to practicality and comfort, including a 460L boot.

It certainly looks striking…
