DJI's smallest and most sensible drone gets updated, but can the Mini 4 Pro really be any better than its brilliant predecessor?

from $868/amazon.com
It’s only been 18 months since the Mini 3 Pro landed, but DJI has already given its snack-sized quadcopter several camera and usability upgrades for the Mini 4 Pro… and without raising the price too much.
The model on test here comes with the latest RC 2 touchscreen controller and one battery (for $868), but it’s also available with the old phone-mounted RC-N2 for $734, or as part of the $1011 Fly More Combo that includes the RC 2 plus a bag, a charging hub and two spare batteries.
Crucially, the still-under-250g weight means you can legally fly it within 50m of uninvolved or unaware people (although not above large crowds) and within 150m of ‘residential, recreational, commercial and industrial sites’.
So is this another firm nudge towards ultralight perfection, or a trivial update to the excellent Mini 3 Pro? I launched it high into the skies of Kent in an effort to find the answer.
