KINGDOM COME: DELIVERANCE II
PC Gamer US Edition
|July 2025
Make Henry's medieval adventure a little easier (or harder).
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II: it ain't Skyrim. That's not a criticism, mind you, just a hard truth. They're both RPGs, but KCDII is aiming for a more authentic experience when it comes to combat, travel, alchemy, and many of its other systems—heck, even wearing a helmet and putting the visor down isn't all that straightforward in KCDII.
The deliberate and meticulous nature of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II's systems are a big part of what makes it such a great and immersive experience, but that doesn't mean everything about these systems is universally beloved. Tweaking a few systems to make them less labor intensive isn't unthinkable, which is why the mods that sprung up so quickly for the RPG mostly focus on making the game a bit easier.
OUR SAVIORThe most popular mod for KCDII involves the most basic function of the game: saving your progress. Just like in the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Henry needs to use a Savior Schnapps potion to manually save the game, otherwise he'll have to find a bed and sleep in it. That means collecting herbs and mixing them with wine at an alchemy bench—not a huge hassle, really, except when you just want to quickly save, but realize you're completely out of the ingredients and nowhere near a crafting table. The Unlimited Saving II mod lets you do what the gods of PC gaming intended: save your game whenever the hell you damn well please. I get the idea behind Savior Schnapps, I really do: choices become less important if you can simply undo them and reload a save whenever you want. On the other hand: the heck with that. Sometimes I just wanna quicksave. Now I can.
