One of my most hated games writing tropes is when reviewers take delight in pointing out that the setting of a game is more interesting than the main character. “But as everyone knows, Spencer Mansion,” *takes a sip of G Fuel martini*, “is the real hero here.” Control is perhaps the one instance where that assertion is entirely justified.
