Slow-motion horror with far too many arms

Like Diablo with more in the way of strategy, at least on the surface, Band of Crusaders leans on the horror imagery of its skull-faced monsters and religious iconography, but also makes wide use of slowed-down combat to provide something a loot-clicker like Blizzard’s games doesn’t.

Europe, the 1350s. Not a pleasant place to be a peasant at the best of times, but in this setting there’s more than the crusades and black death to worry about: demons, and they’re everywhere, with the common folk having to face the hordes.
