I was one of those people who played Red Dead Redemption 2 before the first. In hindsight, it feels wrong, but now I’ve got to experience the chronological order of my favorite western adventure, I’m glad I waited. Going from playing as heartwarming Arthur Morgan alongside the Van der Linde Gang to playing as the solo, rather gritty John Marston driven by nothing but anger was certainly a change of pace. But going into the game fueled by my already existing knowledge of the characters I was inevitably going to hunt down to kill only made the game more enthralling to play for the first time.
