WHILE THE IPHONE Air grabbed all the headlines with its jaw-dropping ultra-thin design, it's the iPhone 17 Pro that most of us will covet. For not only does it only cost $100 than the iPhone Air, it's also much more capable — with longer battery life (up to 31 hours in the case of the 6.3in Pro versus the Air's 27 hours) and a much better 48MP Pro Fusion camera system that comprises a 48MP Fusion Main, a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide, and a 48MP Fusion Telephoto with up to 8x zoom, making it ideal for keen iPhoneographers. Another point of difference, internally at least, is that while the iPhone 17 Pro has a similar A19 Pro chip to the Air, its version benefits from an extra graphics core (giving it six cores rather than five) for even better video, gaming and artificial intelligence (Al) performance.
