April 2025

he Nothing Phone 3a Pro has entered the mid-range smartphone market, promising to deliver premium features at an impressive 30k budget. Positioned as an upgrade over its sibling, the Nothing Phone 3a, the Pro variant introduces a periscope telephoto camera and a few design tweaks while retaining the brand's signature transparent aesthetic. After spending enough time with this device, here's a detailed look.

A CLEAR WINNER OR JUST CLEAR?

The Nothing Phone 3a Pro maintains the brand's signature eye-catching design with a transparent glass back showcasing stylized internals and the Glyph LED interface. It introduces a bold, circular camera module that features a new periscope telephoto lens, making it one of the largest bumps on a smartphone. The flat plastic frame and panda glass offer a premium feel, though at 211 grams and 8.39mm thick, it feels a bit bulky for one-handed use.

DESIGN & BUILD

A new Essential Key on the right side acts as a shortcut to Nothing's AI-driven Essential Space hub, though its lack of full customization is a letdown. Additionally, while it has an IP64 rating for splash and dust resistance, it falls short of the more common IP68 standard and notably lacks wireless charging found in other mid-range options.
