Khattar introduces ADEETIE scheme to upgrade MSMEs with energy-efficient tech

Union Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, launched the Assistance for Deployment of Energy Efficient Technologies in Industrial Establishments (ADEETIE) scheme at Arya PG College, addressing a gathering of entrepreneurs and representatives from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The ₹1,000 crore scheme initiated by the Ministry of Power and implemented by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is designed to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient technologies across India's industrial sector, particularly among MSMEs.

ADEETIE provides comprehensive support to enterprises through an end-to-end framework that includes subvention on loans, Investment Grade Energy Audits (IGEA), preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and Monitoring and Verification (M&V) post-implementation. This structured approach is expected to help MSMEs overcome financial and technical barriers in transitioning to more energy-efficient operations.
