AI reshaping conventional factories Into intelligent, high-efficiency production hubs

As of 2025, India has emerged as one of the world's fastest-growing and most dynamic economies, boasting a nominal GDP of $4.19 trillion. With an ambitious goal of attaining developed nation status by 2047, the country aims for an annual GDP growth rate above 8 per cent, guided by a series of strategic reforms and policy initiatives led by the Union government. Rajesh Lohiya shares more with EPR.

How is India addressing gaps in its solar manufacturing ecosystem to achieve energy self-reliance and increase domestic production capacity?

Recognising energy security as a cornerstone of sustained economic development, the Union government has prioritised the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure to enhance resilience and support long-term growth. Among its vast natural resources, India boasts one of the richest solar energy potentials globally, benefiting from nearly 300 sunny days each year and receiving approximately 5,000 trillion kWh of solar radiation across its landmass. This consistent and abundant sunlight positions solar power as a compelling solution to meet the nation's growing energy demands.
