How are you transitioning to electric and hybrid equipment?

We are adopting an incrementally phased approach to sustainable construction equipment. We've launched advanced CEV V-compliant EarthMaster Backhoe Loaders and RoadMaster Motor Graders, featuring state-of-the-art engines and after-treatment systems for lower emissions, improved fuel efficiency, and high torque. Our global R&D network is actively piloting electric and hybrid technologies suitable for India's duty cycles. We are specifically addressing challenges such as charging infrastructure, battery thermal management, and cost optimisation to ensure the right balance of performance, sustainability, and affordability across diverse Indian operating conditions.

What role does localisation play in your strategy?

Localisation is central to our 'Make in India' vision and product strategy.

We design and manufacture critical aggregates, including engines, driveline systems, and major steel structures, domestically at our Chakan plant. Key components, such as hydraulics and electronics, are sourced through robust partnerships with renowned global and local suppliers. This approach is vital in India's diverse, price-sensitive market, as it promotes cost-effectiveness, reduces import dependence, ensures swifter service, enhances parts availability, and enables us to adapt to changing regulations and market needs rapidly.
