IPHONE 17 PRO MAX IN COSMIC ORANGE SELLS OUT IN US AND INDIA
AppleMagazine
|September 19, 2025
Apple's bold new cosmic orange color option for the iPhone 17 Pro Max is proving to be a hit, with preorders selling out within hours in major markets including the United States and India.
-
The high-end model, introduced during Apple's September launch event, is now facing weeks-long shipping delays, highlighting both the strength of demand for exclusive finishes and the challenges Apple faces in managing supply for its flagship phones.
COSMIC ORANGE MAKES A SPLASH
Apple has a long history of using color to create buzz, but the cosmic orange edition appears to have struck a particular chord. Market analysts say the hue—positioned as premium and distinct from Apple's usual palette of silver, space black, gold, and natural titanium—has tapped into consumer appetite for standout designs in a market where smartphones are increasingly similar in form.
In the U.S., Apple's online store shows the cosmic orange iPhone 17 Pro Max shipping as late as mid-November for certain configurations, while other colors remain available for delivery in September. In India, one of Apple's fastest-growing markets, the model sold out almost immediately on Apple's own store and major retail platforms like Flipkart and Amazon India.
