ALDERSHOT Town supporters haven't had too much to shout about over the years. All that changed at Wembley last Sunday.

Twenty thousand impassioned fans turned the West side at the Home of Football into a sea of red and blue and witnessed history being made as the Hampshire club celebrated their first visit to Wembley in their 99-year existence by lifting the Isuzu FA Trophy.

Second-half goals from Jack Barham, Dan Ellison and the excellent Josh Barrett put the seal on an occasion to savour and got the party to end all parties underway.

In the end, it was a comfortable afternoon for Tommy Widdrington’s men, but it didn’t come without the odd scare. Step 2 Moors had already beaten National League trio Boston United, Sutton United and Rochdale to get to the final and posed enough attacking threat to keep them constantly on guard.
