NON-LEAGUE stalwart Mick Joiner says he was lost for words after being honoured with the Unsung Hero award at the National Game Awards, in association with Isuzu.

Joiner has been an ever-present within Non-League after a staggering 70 YEARS spent in service of Northern Premier League Division One West outfit Chasetown.
Joiner helped the club blossom from humble beginnings in the Cannock & District League to become FA Cup giantkillers and a spot among the bigger fish at Step 4.
In his time with the Scholars, Joiner served in a variety of roles, from player to chairman, since 1966.
At the same time, he led the Midland Football Alliance and its seamless merger with the Midland Combination in 2014.
