ELLIOT Sandy says it was a no-brainer to take charge of AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
The former Spalding United manager has been brought in to replace Michael Harriman at the NPL Midlands outfit, who he previously played for.
The Non-League stalwart led the Tulips to the NPL Midlands title in 2023-24 and Diamonds will no doubt be hoping he can repeat the feat at Hayden Road.
"As soon as the opportunity became available it was a no-brainer to get back involved," he told AFCRDTV. "I'm just delighted, it was something that came out of the blue.
"I'm a young, hungry manager who wants to be successful and I've always known how big the club is. I've been here as a player and it's great to be back as a manager.
